Outfit of the Day

Hi Internet!

This is my first time doing a fashion-type blog so bear with me! I'm what most people would consider to be a plus-sized lady and I've been sporting a size 12-14 for the last 5-6 years now. I've only now began starting to embrace my body for what it is, I may not have tried too hard to loose the weight but with the right type of clothes, I know my body looks good.

So with this new profound appreciation for my curvy bod and with the inspiration of other plus-sized fashion blogs (including Miss Marfmellow and Chubbyfashion on tumblr) I've decided to take it upon my self to do my own little blog.
So let's get started!

This is my outfit today:

My top is a a cobalt blue silk blouse from the company I work for, Windsmoor. It's a UK brand
that is sold mainly in the UK but there are about 50 boutiques across Canada that can be found in The Bay. Anyways, this blouse in particular is from last summer and since I get a uniform allowance, this top was free but it did run for about $200 at original price. I wouldn't ever actually pay that much for a shirt, even if it's 100% silk, but since I got it for free and I can't wear it to work anymore (I have to change uniform every 6 months to keep up-to-date with the seasons) I might as well put good use to it now! It's actually a tunic that is pretty long and has pockets on the side (which I absolutely love) and it can be worn with leggings or skinny jeans. Since it's from last summer, it can't be found in stores anymore but you can see the details about it here if you live in the UK, it's only £29.00 now.

My shorts are from H&M this season, they are white eyelet shorts that were a part of H&M's "Conscious Collection" that featured clothing made from 100% organic cotton. These lace shorts have pleats in the front, have pockets and are just super cute overall. I think they were originally $17 Canadian but I bought them on sale for $10.

I tucked in the tunic and the trick I've learnt to use involves shoving the shirt in all the way and then lifting your arms up high and this way, the shirt comes out of your pants at just the perfect length.

I'm also wearing my Michael Kors jelly watch that I got for my birthday from my amazing boyfriend :)

So that's my outfit, I thought it was a pretty cute summer ensemble and I'm just happy I found something to match with these shorts!! It was not easy!

Til next time!
